Peavine Falls & Climbs 5K

Pelham, United States • 2 May 2026

Event Overview

The Peavine Falls & Climbs 5K takes place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Oak Mountain State Park in Pelham, Alabama. There are two separate events: a run and a hike. The event starts and finishes at the Peavine Falls Parking area.

Course Description

The 5 km course begins on a flat service road before descending sharply. The route includes pinestraw-covered singletrack climbs, a descent to Peavine Gorge Overlook, and a technical, rocky downhill to a creek. Participants cross the creek and navigate a section described as technical and gnarly, involving hands-on rock steps.

The route passes Peavine Falls and involves additional creek crossings and climbs, including a scramble to a cliffside trail. After a final bridge, an extended climb leads to West Ridge, where the terrain becomes more runnable for the finish back at the parking area.

Registration and Details

Registration for each event is $40. Participation is limited, with a set number of spots available for both the run and the hike. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
