Peak Raid Race 2 Edale

Peak Raid Race 2 Edale takes place on 18 October 2026 in Edale. It is the second event in a four race Peak Raid series. Each event is a three hour score race using SiTiming and a map based control system.

The terrain ranges from high moorland that requires accurate navigation to more runnable limestone dales with a network of footpaths. At the start competitors receive a waterproof map with control descriptions and a points value sheet. Competitors then have three hours to select a route and visit controls to collect points. Points are lost for late return.

Entries are open in solo and pairs categories with a minimum age of 14. Entry fees vary by date and FRA members receive a £2 reduction. There are 15 age and category options including men, women, veteran classes and mixed pairs. For pairs the age category is determined by the oldest competitor. A parent or guardian category permits one runner under 18 provided the other runner is over 21 and is the parent guardian or an accompanying adult appointed by the parent or guardian.

All competitors must wear or carry the FRA mandatory minimum kit: waterproof jacket and trousers with taped seams and attached hood, hat, gloves, a map provided at the event, compass, whistle, emergency food and a survival bag. Kit will be checked. Prizes require completion of at least two races and are awarded by category. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
