Peak Raid Race 2 Edale

Peak Raid Race 2 Edale is part of the Peak Raid 2026 series and takes place in Edale on 18 October 2026. The series comprises four three hour score-format races across varied Peak District terrain, including moorland and limestone dales.

The event is a fell running score race that requires route choice and navigation skills. At the start competitors receive a waterproof map with control descriptions and points values. Each competitor or pair has three hours to visit controls and collect points; late return incurs a points penalty. The event uses SiTiming and allows solo entries or pairs, with pair categories based on the age of the older competitor.

Competitors must meet the FRA Mandatory Minimum Kit requirement. Required items include waterproof whole body cover with taped seams and attached hood, hat, gloves, map provided by organisers, compass, whistle, emergency food and a survival bag. Kit checks will be carried out before or during the event.

Entry details include opening and closing dates and tiered entry fees with a small reduction for FRA members. Minimum age is 14. There are 15 competition categories including male, female, mixed and a parent or guardian and under 18 category. Prizes require completion of at least two races and are awarded by category.
