Peak Raid Race 2 Edale

Peak Raid Race 2 at Edale is part of the Peak Raid 2026 series and takes place on 18 October 2026 in the Peak District. The event is a score-format fell run using SiTiming in which competitors have three hours to collect as many points as possible by visiting mapped controls. A waterproof map with control descriptions and point values is provided at the start, and late return loses points.

Competitors may enter solo or as a pair. The event accepts pairs in all categories; the age category for a pair is based on the age of the older competitor on 31/12/2026. The minimum age to compete is 14. Where one runner is under 18, the other must be over 21 and be the parent, guardian, or an accompanying adult appointed by the parent or guardian.

All races use a variety of terrain from high moorland to limestone dales and require route choice and navigation skills. Competitors must carry the FRA Mandatory Minimum Kit: waterproof whole body cover with taped seams and attached hood, hat, gloves, map (provided), compass, whistle, emergency food and a survival bag. Kit will be checked on the day.

The Peak Raid series comprises four three hour races; each competitor’s best three results count toward the overall league. Prizes require completion of at least two races and are awarded by category. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
