Paradise Springs 5k and 10k

This event offers trail races at Paradise Springs and Hemlock Overlook Park that award series points toward the Year Long 5k, 10k and Back of the Pack Series as well as the Sippin Series. A virtual race option is available.

Distances

  • 5 km technical trail through Hemlock Overlook Park and down by the river.
  • 10 km two laps of the 5 km route.

The course is described as technical with notable elevation changes and a rocky section that can slow runners. Water stations are placed at approximately mile markers 2.3 on the 5 km route and at 2.3, 3.1 and 5.4 on the 10 km route. Restrooms are available at the winery.

Runners receive a glass of wine from Paradise Springs Winery, a finisher medal, a technical Drifit event shirt and chip timing. Packet pickup is available at the event and race day registration is offered. T shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before February 18; additional shirts will be ordered for later registrants on a first come first served basis.

The event supports the John P Mayhugh Foundation, which works on recovery and brain health issues related to post traumatic stress, traumatic brain injury and addiction. Results are posted live and final results with series points are published after the race. The organizer runs the event in most weather conditions and officials may delay or change plans for safety.
