Event overview

Pandora's Box of Rox is a trail running event on April 25, 2026 at Reveille Peak Ranch in Burnet, Texas. The event offers multiple distances and a separate youth race for ages 12 and under. The venue includes a pavilion and lake near the start/finish area and weekend camping is available on site.

Distances

• 52.4 mi (double marathon, four laps of the full loop)
• 26.2 mi (marathon, two laps)
• 13.1 mi (half marathon, one full lap)
• 8 mi (one lap; returns via a jeep road after the granite dome)
• 4 mi (one lap; shorter loop joins full lap to finish)
• Youth 1 mi (untimed, 12 & under; bib and finisher medal)

Course and logistics

The full loop passes meadows, creek crossings, scenic overlooks and a large granite dome. Course markings include orange caution tape, yellow arrows, confidence markers, and reflectors for night visibility. The 13.1 mile loop has an access point around mile 8 where runners can place their own drop bags. Drop bags may be left at the start/finish area or at the Gate (360 Bridge) location; race staff do not deliver or monitor these items.

Support, rules and services

Staffed aid stations are located at the Lake A.S. (start/finish/next lap) and Jack A.S.; Road A.S. and Gate A.S. will have at minimum water, Tailwind, ice, and snacks. Runners should plan to carry water through exposed granite sections. The event is cupless; participants must bring a cup or bottle. A signed ranch waiver is required for entry. Chip timing is used and mass starts are organized by distance. Pacers are allowed after two full laps, with specific pacer registration required.
