Outpost 8k is a trail race held in Flatrock, Newfoundland and Labrador. The route begins at the Father Troy's Trail trailhead on Windgap Road, proceeds along single track and wider coastal paths to a large boulder known as The Outpost, then follows the coastal trail to Torbay Beach for roughly 8 km. Construction at Tapper's Cove Wharf may require a detour that would increase the distance to about 8.8 km.

Entry cost is $33 plus fees. The registration system may display an incorrect all-included price due to a platform function, but the effective cost is $33 plus fees. Registration closes June 30 2026. There is no waitlist; cancelled spots may be reopened on June 20 on a first-come, first-served basis. Capacity has been increased to 150 entrants.

The event is not for profit; collected funds cover operational, equipment and health and safety costs, with any surplus donated to the East Coast Trail Association and other local organizations. No refunds, cancellations, bib transfers or deferrals are allowed after purchase.

The race uses three categories (M/F/X) and awards medals to the top three in each category. Runners are asked to respect other trail users, use clear passing calls such as "on the left" or "on the right", and avoid littering or damaging trail infrastructure.
