Seaside Showdown Series: Deadman's Bay Path

This event takes place in St. John's, NL, on a 10.6 km trail route running from Ft. Amherst to Blackhead. The course is not flagged and participants are expected to know the route.

Volunteers will be stationed at key locations along the course to help keep runners on the trail, but following the route is the responsibility of each participant. A GPX file is available on request for use with a Garmin watch or other devices. Route files are also available through the event's Strava club.

Bib pick up occurs at race check-in. Registration and bib numbers cannot be transferred to other individuals. Moving registration to another Seaside Showdown Series race is possible with advance notice. If the event is cancelled, refunds less service fees or rollover registration will be offered.

Parking at the start line is limited and carpooling is encouraged. The Seaside Showdown Series includes multiple trail events named Sugarloaf Path, Deadman's Bay Path, Cape Spear Path, and Mickeleen's Path. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

A 9K trail stage in St. John's on the Sugarloaf Path from Marine Lab to Quidi Vidi. The course is unflagged; a GPX file and Strava routes are provided and volunteers staff key locations.

A roughly 8 km trail race in Flatrock that follows coastal and single-track trails to a landmark called The Outpost. Entry is $33 plus fees, limited to 150 runners, with a possible detour increasing distance to about 8.8 km.

A 25 km trail event in St. John’s with a solo 25 km option and a two person relay. The route starts at Signal Hill and finishes at Middle Cove Beach and the event supports mental health and suicide prevention.
