OUTLAST SPOKANE : 6 Hour Trail Challenge

OUTLAST is a six hour trail endurance challenge held on July 11, 2026, at 27722 N Mt. Spokane Rd, Mead, WA. Participants run a 5K loop every hour, on the hour. Each lap must be completed within the hour to continue in the event. If a runner misses a lap they are removed from further rounds. Runners who finish all six laps complete the event.

Courses are trail based and include natural terrain, elevation changes, and variable conditions such as dirt, rocks, roots, and occasional pavement or gravel. Time between laps is available for rest, refueling, and gear adjustments. Walking is permitted provided the 5K is finished within the hour. Aid at basecamp includes water, basic hydration, and snacks; this is a cupless event so runners should bring their own bottle or hydration system. Participants may set up a personal tent or aid station.

Recognition is awarded by laps completed: four laps earn a "Grit Earned" patch, five laps earn a "Survivor" patch, and six laps earn a premium OUTLAST medal. All participants receive a premium OUTLAST tee. Finishers who complete all six laps receive combined times for local awards and placement on the national leaderboard. Top local winners and top national times are eligible for additional prize opportunities and championship invitations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
