Event Details

The OUTLAST SPOKANE is a 6-hour trail endurance challenge taking place on Saturday, July 11, 2026. The event is held at Selkirk Lodge, 27722 N Mt. Spokane Rd, Mead, WA.

Challenge Format

Participants must complete a 5K trail run every hour, on the hour, for six hours. Each lap must be finished within the hour to remain in the event. Those who finish a lap early must wait until the next hour to start the next lap. If a participant fails to complete a lap within the hour, they are eliminated.

Course and Terrain

The event is run on trail terrain, which includes dirt, rocks, roots, and elevation changes. The course may also include some pavement and gravel sections. Conditions are described as natural and unpredictable.

Awards and Recognition

All participants receive a premium OUTLAST T-shirt. Awards are based on the number of laps completed:

• 4 laps: "Grit Earned" patch.
• 5 laps: "Survivor" patch.
• 6 laps: Premium OUTLAST medal.

The top male and female finishers with the fastest combined times for all six 5K laps win the 1st Place OUTLAST award for the local event. Finishers are also ranked on a national leaderboard, with the fastest runner across all OUTLAST events winning $1,000 and the title of National Champion. The top 100 national times are invited to a championship event.

Logistics and Rules

The event is cupless; participants must bring their own bottle or hydration system. Water, basic hydration, and snacks are available at the basecamp. Participants are allowed to set up their own tents or aid stations. Packet pickup is from 4:45 AM to 5:45 AM. The event starts at 6:00 AM and ends at 12:00 PM.
