OUTLAST SPOKANE
OUTLAST is a six hour trail endurance challenge held near Mead, Washington at 27722 N Mt. Spokane Rd. Participants run a 5K loop every hour, on the hour, for up to six rounds. Each lap must be completed within the hour to remain in the event; finishing early yields rest time until the next round, and missing a lap ends a participant's attempt. Completing all six rounds is recorded as an OUTLAST finish.
The course is trail based and includes natural terrain such as dirt, rocks, roots, and elevation changes. Some sections may include pavement or gravel. Each 5K is timed individually, and those who complete all six have a combined time that counts for local awards and the national leaderboard.
Awards and recognition are structured by laps completed and overall time. Participants who complete four laps earn a “Grit Earned” patch, five laps earn a “Survivor” patch, and six laps earn a premium OUTLAST medal. All participants receive a premium OUTLAST tee. The top male and female with the fastest combined 5K times at the event win the 1st Place OUTLAST award. Finishers are ranked nationally and the fastest runner across all OUTLAST six hour events is crowned National Champion and receives a $1,000 prize.
Support includes water, basic hydration, and snacks at the basecamp or loop start. This is a cupless event so participants must provide their own bottle or hydration system. Walking is permitted as long as each 5K is finished within the hour. Participants may set up a personal tent or aid station at the event site.
