ZERO DARK ULTRA - Spokane, WA

ZERO DARK ULTRA is an overnight ultrarunning and rucking event held by Phase One at training grounds near Spokane, Washington. The event is scheduled for August 8, 2026, and registration closes August 27. Organizers note a date change from August 29 to August 8 and a later price increase.

The event format includes a 24 hour run, a 12 hour run, a 12 hour ruck, and a Tiny Titans Ultra that lets parents run a single loop with their children. Ruck entrants must carry a pack or vest not to exceed 45 pounds.

The course is a continuous 1.56 mile loop on dirt and wood chip trail. There is one semi-stocked aid station at the start and finish in the main parking lot. Participants are encouraged to be largely self-sufficient; the aid station provides food and drink options but runners and ruckers should carry their own supplies as needed.

Support arrangements include designated areas for personal tents and authorized crew access in the parking area. Medical support will be on site. Required gear includes a headlamp, running gear, food, water, and electrolytes.

Finishers receive a Phase One T shirt and a finisher patch. Tailwind Nutrition is the event sponsor and Tailwind Endurance Fuel will be available at the main aid station. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
