OUTLAST HOUSTON : event overview

OUTLAST Houston is scheduled for Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Brazos River Park, 18427 Southwest Fwy, Sugar Land, TX 77479. The event is a timed, six-hour trail endurance challenge held at that park. Packet pickup is available the day before and on race day. Registration has tiered pricing with early bird, standard, late, and race-weekend rates.

Format, course and awards

The event format requires participants to complete a 5K lap every hour for up to six hours. Each lap must be finished within the hour to remain in the event; participants who miss a lap may not continue. Runners may walk as long as they finish each lap within the hour. Courses are trail-based and may include dirt, rocks, roots, elevation changes, and occasional pavement or gravel.

Aid is provided at the basecamp/loop start with water, basic hydration, and snacks. This is a cupless event; participants are asked to bring their own bottle or hydration system. Tent or personal aid setups are permitted.

Awards and recognition include leather patches for completing four and five laps, a wooden medal for completing all six laps, an OUTLAST tee and sticker for all participants, local first-place male and female awards based on combined times, national leaderboard rankings, and cash prizes for top national and championship finishers.
