Sections alternate between exposed shoreline and fully canopied forest. Course markings include orange caution tape, yellow arrows, and confidence markers; reflective markings are used for dark hours. Aid stations provide water, ice, Vfuel gels, Tailwind, soda, fruit, and sweet and salty foods. Drop bags may be left at aid stations except at Wolf Pond. The Ruck division requires mandatory back-mounted weight (20 lb if under 150 lb, 30 lb if over 150 lb), with weigh-ins before start and at the finish. The youth run is untimed and awards a finisher medal; parents may run with their child at no charge. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
