The route runs on the Trailway in the Birch Creek Unit and follows shoreline and inland trails. Sections are both exposed and tree-canopied, with gently rolling, mostly flat terrain, some rooted hard-packed sections, and areas of sand or loose soil. The courses use a lollipop loop design; the half marathon repeats an out-and-back loop, the marathon is two identical laps, and the 50k extends beyond the marathon turnaround.
Course markings include caution tape, yellow arrows, and confidence markers; reflective markings are used for dark hours. Aid stations provide water, ice, Vfuel gels, Tailwind, Coke, ginger ale, sweet and salty food, and fruit. Drop bags are allowed at aid stations except Wolf Pond; the park is public and belongings are not monitored. All races are chip timed with ankle chips; results show gun and chip times, and gun time is used for official rankings. Ruck division has mandatory non-consumable weight rules and pre-race weigh-in. Top 3 overall plus top masters (50+) are awarded per distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
