The Trailway Trail Race takes place on October 10, 2026 at Lake Somerville State Park, Birch Creek Unit in Somerville, Texas. The event uses the Trailway path that links two park units and follows much of the lake shoreline.

The course is a lollipop style loop that alternates between exposed shoreline sections and fully canopied forest tunnels. Terrain is mostly flat with gentle rolling sections, hard packed and rooted trail, and occasional sand or loose soil. Route notes: the 5k heads east from the hub, the 10k and longer distances start west with the half marathon adding an out and back beyond the Wolf Pond aid station. The marathon repeats the half route for a second lap, and the 50k extends slightly farther past the half turnaround.

Aid stations are on course and the event is cupless, so participants must provide their own cup or bottle. Aid station offerings include water, ice, gels, Tailwind, sodas, sweet and salty foods, and fruit. Drop bags may be placed at most aid stations except Wolf Pond. A ruck division is available with required weights based on participant body weight and mandatory pre race weigh in.
