The Trailway Trail Race takes place at Lake Somerville State Park, Birch Creek Unit. The event is scheduled for October 10, 2026. Distances offered include:

Registration opens in November 2025. A pre-race tailgate and packet pickup are held the evening before the race at the race hub.
Course and race details
The course follows the Trailway that links two park units and often runs next to the lake shoreline. The route is a lollipop-style loop with sections that are exposed to the sky and sections in shaded forest canopy. Terrain is mostly flat with gentle rolling sections, hard-packed and rooted trail, and areas of sand or loose soil. Specific route differences are noted by distance, with the 26.2 mile course consisting of two identical laps and the 50 km extending beyond the marathon turnaround.
The event uses chip timing with ankle chips. Results show both Gun Time and Chip Time; Gun Time is used for official rankings. Course markings include caution tape, yellow arrows, and confidence markers. Aid stations offer water, ice, Vfuel gels, Tailwind, Coke, ginger ale, sweet and salty foods, and fruit. Drop bags are allowed at aid stations except Wolf Pond. A Ruck division is offered with mandatory back-mounted weight requirements, weigh-ins, and no trekking poles. Pacers are not allowed.
