Outlast Cleveland

Outlast Cleveland is a 6 hour trail endurance challenge held on 10/31/2026 in Garrettsville, Ohio at 10321 Silica Sand Rd. The event format requires runners to complete a 5K loop every hour, on the hour. Each lap must be finished within the hour to remain in the event; missing a lap eliminates the runner from further rounds. Completing all six rounds awards the premium OUTLAST medal and a national leaderboard ranking.

Course surfaces are trail based and include natural terrain, elevation changes, and sometimes pavement and gravel. Aid is available at the basecamp or loop start with water, basic hydration, and snacks. This is a cupless event; participants should bring their own bottle or hydration system. Participants may walk as long as each 5K is completed within the hour. Tents and personal aid station setups are permitted on site.

Individual 5K laps are timed separately. If a runner completes all six laps, the combined time is used to determine local event winners and to place runners on the national leaderboard. Local top male and female finishers by combined time receive the 1st Place OUTLAST award. Patches and apparel are awarded based on laps completed and participation.
