Outlands Endurance Races - Pilot Hill, CA
Outlands Endurance Races take place on April 18, 2026, based at Peninsula Campground in Pilot Hill, California, between Cool and Folsom. The event sends runners onto trails around Folsom Lake, following rugged singletrack along the lakeshore with steady climbs, quiet terrain, and wide open views.
Courses are runnable on a mix of singletrack and wider trails. Distances offered:
- 25K - 15.5 miles out and back; 1452 ft total climbing.
- 50K - 31.1 miles out and back; 3407 ft total climbing.
- 50M - 50 miles out and back to Magnolia Ranch; 6100 ft total climbing.
Aid stations on all courses are stocked with gels, chips, candy, potatoes, bananas, water and Skratch Hydration. Notable aid station locations and mile markers include Rodgers Gang, Acorn Creek, Cronin Ranch, Magnolia Ranch, with specific mile-by-mile placements provided for each distance.
The 25K and 50K courses are described as mostly smooth trail with manageable climbing while providing a true trail experience. The 50 mile course extends time on trail with additional and tougher sections. The event includes The Unity Initiative, a donation program with partner nonprofits and a donation match and discount program that matches donations up to $40 or 25% of a registration fee.
