12 Hour Endurance Event

The Outdoor X12 Endurance Run and Ruck takes place in Dayton, Ohio, as part of the Subaru Outdoor Experience. This event is held in collaboration with Five Rivers Metroparks. Participants have 12 hours to traverse a loop course to earn a finisher medal. The event features two distinct categories for participants: a standard endurance run and a ruck division.

Course Layout

The route consists of a loop measuring approximately 2.7 miles. The terrain is comprised of 4% paved bike path and 96% grass and trail double track. The course is characterized as being flat throughout the entire loop.

Event Categories

Participants can choose between two primary event types:

  • 12 Hour Endurance Run
  • 12 Hour Endurance Ruck

The ruck division requires participants to carry specific weight loads based on their body weight. Individuals weighing less than 150 lbs must carry 20 lbs, while those weighing 150 lbs or more must carry 30 lbs. Finishers in the ruck category receive a patch in addition to the standard medal. All participants must continue traveling upon the course for the full 12 hour duration to receive finisher recognition. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
