The Otterton Reindeer Run is a village cross-country race and fun run at St Michael's Church, Otterton, EX9 7HU. The event raises funds for community projects in the village and includes prizes for best adult and junior fancy dress.

Course, facilities and rules

The course is mainly off-road with some sections on quiet country lanes that are largely traffic free. The start is outside the church. Marshals will guide runners, water stations will be provided at regular intervals, and paramedics will be on standby.

Race HQ and registration are at St Michael's Church. Numbers are collected on the day. Baggage is stored inside the church in an unsecured area; items are left at the owner’s risk. There are limited toilet and changing facilities at the church, with additional toilets at the village hall. Refreshments and prize presentations take place at the village hall nearby. Adults may be offered tea, coffee or mulled wine; juniors may be offered squash; all finishers receive a mince pie. Parking is not available at Race HQ; limited on-road parking is available and parking is provided at Bicton Home Farm, EX9 7BY. The event is held under Association of Running Clubs rules (permit ARC/25/0748). Entrants must be amateur; minimum age for the main race is 16.
