ORRRC Summer Solstice Trail Run : John Bryan State Park

This trail race takes place at John Bryan State Park in Yellow Springs, Ohio. The course distance is approximately 13 miles and uses chip timing. The organizer provides course maps and file downloads.

Registration is available through RunSignup prior to the event; online registration remains open until shortly before the race and in-person registration or hard‑copy sheets are available on race day. Minors may be registered online by a parent or guardian or in person with a parent or guardian present to sign the waiver. Participants must check in before the race and attach their assigned timing chip to one shoe; chips are distributed at the check-in table marked with a green tablecloth. Organizers recommend arriving at least one hour before the race to park, check in, and warm up.

Fee structure is set by the organizer: current ORRRC members run free when their membership profile is used or when proof of membership is shown at the event. Non-members pay $10 for ages 15 and up; ages 14 and under are free. Runners have 4.5 hours to complete the course and must reach the final aid station by 3.5 hours. Awards are given to the first 200 finishers who meet the event cutoff. Animals are not permitted at the event except for clearly identified service dogs. Volunteer roles include check-in, aid stations, course marshals, and course sweeping; early volunteer sign-ups may receive a gift. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
