Dawg Gone Long Run 50k / 50 Miler
Dawg Gone Long Run takes place at Caesar Creek State Park, with start and finish at the Visitor Center shelter in Waynesville, OH on July 11, 2026. The race is Trail Sisters approved and offers two ultra distances.
- 50 Mile Ultra - three counterclockwise loops with a slight variation at each loop end.
- 50k Ultra - two counterclockwise loops of the same course.
The loop follows the Perimeter (Yellow) Trail plus the Cove (Red), Peninsula (Green), and Fifty Springs (Orange) Trails, featuring mostly single-track and frequent rollers. The largest hill is about 80 feet. Runners doing the 50-mile route complete three loops; 50k runners complete two.
This is a cupless race. There will be no cups at any aid stations; a collapsible cup will be available for purchase for $4. Two manned aid stations will be staffed at the Visitor Center and the Buckeye Way Shelter on the Fifty Springs loop. Unmanned stations visited periodically will provide water. Manned stations will offer Skratch, water, hummus avocado wraps, pickles and pickle juice, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, pretzels, chips, fresh fruit, and other items. Drop bags are allowed only at the Visitor Center aid station.
Cutoffs are 14.5 hours for both distances and will be enforced. Switching from the 50-mile to the 50k is permitted at the end of two loops or before the race; please notify race officials if switching. Packet pickup is available the night before and on race morning at the Visitor Center shelter. Participants are asked not to litter and to carry trash to the next aid station. Volunteers are used to support the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
