Course Details

The 8-Mile race consists of a 2-mile loop inside the Old Tucson grounds, followed by a 4-mile loop on the trails within Tucson Mountain Park, and concludes with a final 2-mile loop back inside the film set. This distance has a 2-hour time limit and includes rugged sections and inclines.

The 4-Mile race loops through Old Tucson and is divided into two sections. One section is designated for female participants and another for an open/male field. The 1-Mile events are held on a less technical course that is accessible for families and strollers.

Participant Information

The events are open to male, female, and non-binary athletes. Awards are provided for top finishers and age groups in the 8-Mile and 4-Mile races. Participants in the 1-Mile walk and the Kids Mile receive official times, though no competitive awards are issued for these categories. Western-themed costumes are encouraged, and a costume contest is held during the awards ceremony. The first 750 registrants are provided with a commemorative shirt.
