Old Baldy is a trail race held on the Old Baldy Trail just south of Spearfish, South Dakota. The main event covers 7.75 miles of scenic but rugged terrain through the Black Hills, featuring forested paths, rolling hills, and rewarding views near the summit—a classic South Dakota trail experience for runners of all levels. Participants should note there will be no on-course aid stations, so water should be carried.

Post-race snacks include French toast sticks and sausage. Access comes from I-90 Exit 8, with limited parking and a recommendation to carpool. Online registration is required; 7.75 Miler is about $23.60, with 16 and Under free and BHRC member discounts.
