The marathon course is USATF certified and serves as a Boston Marathon qualifier. The organizer notes that the course is less technical than the XTERRA Trail Run World Championship course.
Event Information
A shuttle bus service is provided to transport runners from Deadwood to the start lines for the half and full marathon races. There is no parking available at the starting areas. Gear bag drop and transport to the finish line is available for participants. Aid stations with water, sports drink, bananas, and pretzels are located approximately every two miles along the course.
