The Black Hills 100 is an ultramarathon event in Sturgis, South Dakota, held June 26-27, 2026. Distances offered are:

The 100 Mile race is described as roughly 108 miles and follows an out-and-back route on the Centennial Trail (Trail #89) with a section on the Deerfield Trail (Trail #40). The 50 Mile, 50K and 30K use portions of the Centennial and Deerfield trails and finish at Sturgis City Park. Surfaces include mostly single-track dirt and rocky trail, short sections of old logging roads, a 13 mile ATV trail segment, and minimal pavement. The first and last mile use a paved bike path.

  • 100M: Gain 16,779 ft, 34 hour cutoff.
  • 50M: Gain ~6,700 ft, 14 hour cutoff.
  • 50K: Gain ~3,891 ft, 12 hour cutoff.
  • 30K: Gain ~2,363 ft, 11 hour cutoff.

Aid stations and drop-bag options:

  • 100M: 8 aid stations, 7 visited twice; drop bags allowed at Elk Creek (miles 19/87), Dalton Lake (32/74) and Silver City (53).
  • 50M: 7 aid stations; drop bags at Dalton Lake (mile 21) and Elk Creek (mile 34).
  • 50K: 4 aid stations; drop bag option at Elk Creek (mile 14).
  • 30K: 3 aid stations.

Point-to-point races use buses to transport runners from Sturgis to their start locations. The event operates under special use permits with the US Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management. Registration was open for the period September 1, 2025 through May 31, 2026; published entry fees were $350 (100M), $170 (50M), $150 (50K) and $130 (30K).
