Odyssey Trail Running Rampage

Millboro, United States • 12 Sep 2026

Event overview

The Odyssey Trail Running Rampage takes place on September 12, 2026, at Douthat State Park in Millboro, VA. The weekend includes four trail races on looped courses with forested sections, creek crossings, waterfalls, and rhododendron-covered tunnels.

Distances

  • 50K (31+ miles)
  • Marathon (26.2 miles)
  • Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
  • Six-Miler (6.0 miles)

Race format and support

The main loop is about 13 miles with approximately 2700 feet of elevation gain per loop, with most climbing in the first three miles. The Six-Miler covers the last five miles of the main loop plus the Tobacco Hollow Ridge Trail and has over 1000 feet of elevation gain. Loops may be about 0.3 miles long extra.

The 50K is three loops (two half-marathon loops plus one six-mile loop), the Marathon is two loops, and the Half Marathon is one loop. Aid stations on each loop: one water-only station at mile 3.5 at the cabin overlook, and two fully stocked stations at miles 9 and 11.25. Aid station items include HEED, flat cola, potatoes and salt, banana halves, and pretzels. Ultra and marathon runners may stage supplies at the loop finish.

Finish policy counts runners who complete at least one loop as finishers for a lesser distance; drop-down finishers are not eligible for top-3 prizes.

Included services

The event provides a well-marked course, chip timing, a performance wicking T-shirt, a post-race meal (chicken or bean soup options), awards for top three male and female winners in each race, and an Odyssey pint mug for all finishers.
