Odyssey Trail Running Rampage

The Odyssey Trail Running Rampage takes place on September 12, 2026 at Douthat State Park in Millboro, Virginia. The event comprises four trail race distances held on a looped course that uses park trails and ridge routes.

• 50K (31+ miles)
• Marathon (26.2 miles)
• Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
• Six Miler (6.0 miles)

Each main loop is approximately 13+ miles with about 2700 feet of elevation gain per loop; most of that gain occurs in the first three miles. The 50K consists of three loops (two half marathon loops plus one six mile loop), the marathon two loops, the half marathon one loop, and the Six Miler is a single loop with over 1000 feet of elevation gain. Loops incorporate creekside sections, ridge trails, and a Tobacco Hollow Ridge Trail section at the Six Miler start. Loops may measure about 0.3 miles long of advertised distance with no additional charge.

Aid provision includes one water only station at the cabin overlook near mile 3.5 of each loop and two fully stocked stations near miles 9 and 11.25 of each loop. Stations supply HEED, water, flat cola, potatoes and salt, banana halves, and pretzels. Ultra and marathon runners may stage supplies at the loop finish.

The event is part of the Virginia State Park Adventure Series. Included services listed by the organizer are a well marked course, chip timing, a performance wicking t shirt, a post race dinner option, awards for top three male and female finishers in each race, and a finisher mug for every finisher. The race uses a loop based finishing policy that credits runners who complete at least one loop as finishers for that completed distance; runners who drop down are not eligible for top three prizes.
