NWR Cougar Chase 5K and Fun Run 2026
The NWR Cougar Chase is the 5th annual fundraiser for the Northwest Rankin High School cross country program, held at Northwest Rankin High School in Flowood, Mississippi on July 25, 2026. The event supports the cross country team by raising funds for uniforms, travel expenses, and equipment.
The event program includes multiple distances:
- 5K timed race over the NWR cross country course
- 5K walk over the same course
- 1 mile fun run, untimed
Children under 10 may participate in the 1 mile fun run at no charge. All participants receive a t-shirt. Entry fees apply for each event category during the registration window shown on the event page.
Awards are given in both the 5K run and the 5K walk. Each has overall male and female winners and top male and female finishers in these age groups: 15 and under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 plus.
