NWR Cougar Chase 5K and Fun Run 2026
The NWR Cougar Chase is the fifth annual fundraiser held at Northwest Rankin High School in Flowood, Mississippi on July 25, 2026. The event supports the Northwest Rankin Cross Country team; proceeds are used for uniforms, travel expenses, and equipment.
The event program includes a timed 5K run, a 5K walk, and an untimed one mile fun run. All participants receive a t-shirt and age group prizes are awarded for winners.
- 5K Trail Run - Timed 5K over the NWR Cross Country course.
- 5K Trail Walk - 5K walk through the Northwest Rankin Cross Country course.
- 1 Mile Fun Run - Untimed one mile event. Children under 10 run free.
Awards are presented for overall male and overall female in the 5K run and 5K walk. Additional top male and top female awards are given in age groups: 15 and under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over.
