Death by 5k Brandon

Brandon, United States • 22 Aug 2026

Event Overview

Death by 5k Brandon is a multi-stage running challenge held at the RunStrong Training Center in Brandon, Mississippi. Participants are required to complete ten 5 km runs over a 24-hour period. Each 5 km leg starts every 2.5 hours throughout the day and night. The course remains the same for every leg of the event, beginning and ending at the Training Center.

Amenities and Logistics

Runners have several options for rest between the scheduled runs. The venue provides a green space for setting up tents, and participants may also rest in their vehicles or return home if they live nearby. The organizers provide five hot meals at specific intervals, along with various snacks available throughout the duration of the challenge.

Course Conditions and Equipment

As the event takes place during the summer in Mississippi, weather conditions are a significant factor for participants. There are no aid stations located on the course itself; therefore, runners are expected to carry their own hydration equipment or handheld water bottles.

Registration and Rewards

Registration is initially limited to 75 participants, after which a waitlist is established. Participants receive a race shirt and additional event merchandise. Those who successfully complete all ten legs of the challenge receive a custom finisher trophy in the shape of a coffin. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
