Death by 5k Brandon

Death by 5k Brandon is a 24 hour running event in Brandon, Mississippi, held at the RunStrong Training Center located at 1909 Spillway Road. The event consists of ten separate 5k legs run on the same out-and-back or loop course that starts and ends at the Training Center.

Legs are spaced roughly every 2.5 hours across a 24 hour period. There are no on-course aid stations, so participants are expected to carry a handheld or other personal hydration equipment. Five meals with hot food are served during the event at planned meal times, and additional snack food is available throughout.

Participants may rest or sleep inside their vehicles between legs, use a nearby green space for tents, or return home if they live close enough. The event includes event shirts and additional race swag for registrants, and finishers receive a custom finisher's coffin as a completion item.

Initially 75 participant spots are open; additional interested people are placed on a waitlist after those spots fill. The event fee listed is $125 and registration closes on August 15, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
