Event Overview
The Death by 5k Brandon is a 24-hour challenge where participants run ten 5k races. The event starts on a Saturday and finishes by 8 am on Sunday.
Course and Location
All ten races use the same course, which starts and ends at the RunStrong Training Center located at 1909 Spillway Road in Brandon, Mississippi. There is no on-course aid station, so participants must carry their own hydration.
Schedule and Format
The 5k races begin every 2.5 hours, starting at 8 am. The final race must be completed by 8 am the following day.
Amenities and Logistics
Five hot meals are served throughout the event, along with snacks. Participants can rest between races in their vehicles, set up a tent in a green space, or go home if they live nearby.
Participant Items and Limits
Registration includes a race shirt and swag. Finishers receive a custom finisher's coffin. There is an initial registration limit of 75 spots, after which a waitlist is available.
