Course and logistics

The course is an out-and-back on the Yockanookany section of the Natchez Trace National Scenic Trail. The trail is often rugged single-track and is also open to hikers and horseback riders, so runners may encounter hoof-related trail holes. There are two aid stations stocked with water, Tailwind, fruit, and sweet and salty food at approximately mile 2.75 and mile 7.75. This is a cupless event; participants must carry a water bottle or hydration pack. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each race. Runners may change distances during the race and receive a finish credit, but they become ineligible for awards if they switch. Packet pickup is available the day before at Buffalo Peak and at the start location on race morning. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
