Frosty 15

Frosty 15 is a trail running event on February 13, 2027 in Madison County, MS on the Yockanookany section of the Natchez Trace National Scenic Trail. The courses follow single track trail between the West Florida Boundary trailhead near milepost 107.9 and the Highway 43 trailhead.

Distances:

• 15.5 mile out and back trail race
• 15K out and back with a turnaround point

The trail is shared with hikers and horseback riders, and runners should expect horse hoof holes and often rugged, narrow footing. The race field is limited to 120 runners across both distances; a waitlist is available after the cap is reached. Registration opens November 1, 2026 at midnight CT and there is no race day registration or registration at packet pickup.

This is a cupless event. Two aid stations are provided and stocked with water, Tailwind, fruit, and sweet and salty food; they are located at approximately mile 2.75 and mile 7.75 for the 15.5 mile course. Grilled cheese sandwiches and soup will be available after the race. Entry fee is $50 for both races with a price increase to $60 on January 1, 2027; MUTS members receive a $5 discount with a member code. There are no refunds, transfers, or deferments for MUTS races.

Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each race. Runners who change distance during the race may receive a result for the distance they finish but will not be eligible for awards.
