Course and logistics
The course is an out-and-back on the Yockanookany section of the Natchez Trace National Scenic Trail, starting at the West Florida Boundary historic site on the Natchez Trace Parkway (milepost 107.9) and running north toward the Highway 43 trailhead. The trail is single-track and often rugged. It is shared with hikers and horseback riders, and the surface may include horse hoof holes.
There are two aid stations that will be stocked with water, Tailwind, fruit, and sweet and salty food. This is a cupless event, so runners must carry a water bottle or hydration pack. The race will be chip timed. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each distance. Runners may change distances during the race and receive a result for the distance they finish, but doing so makes them ineligible for awards. Registration is nonrefundable and nontransferable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
