Northumberland Run Forest Run

The Northumberland Run Forest Run takes place on June 14, 2026, at 101 Woodland Rd #199, Roseneath, ON, Canada. The event offers multiple route options on forest trails and is organized as a self supported event.

Route options include:

  • The Jenny : 4 hour event on a 3K loop (Purple Finch trail clockwise).
  • The Lieutenant Dan : 7.5K loop with steep hills.
  • The Bubba : 9K loop, single loop.
  • The Full Gump : combined loops plus an out and back to Lookout Mtn, total 24.6K.

Participants are responsible for their own nutrition and water. No marshals are on course; aid is available at the start area (Location 50 on the map). Runners may carry a cell phone or a sounding device such as a whistle to access help if needed.

Most trails (Purple Finch, Black Oak, Sweet Fern) are free from motorized vehicles, but some trails provide vehicle access, for example to the Lookout. Participants may encounter vehicles and should follow basic trail etiquette. Dogs are not permitted during the race. The event supports St. John Ambulance and lists Athletics Ontario as a sponsor. Trail runs nearby

An 8 km trail race at Goodrich-Loomis Conservation Area as part of the Happy Hour series, featuring hills, rocks and mossy log bridges. Water at start and finish, manual timing, and no placement awards.

Trail event at Batawa Ski Hill on a roughly 7 km loop where runners complete as many laps as possible in 2, 4 or 6 hours; aid station mid-loop and the event is cup-less.

A night trail race at Batawa Ski Hill on July 11, 2026, with marked 7 km and 14 km courses. Headlamps are required, headphones are not allowed, and aid stations provide water and nutrition.

Trail and ultra races in Warsaw Caves Conservation Area offer distances from a 1 km kids run to a 50 km ultra, bib and chip timing, an eco friendly approach, and partial proceeds to the Canadian Mental Health Association.
