Northumberland Run Forest Run

Roseneath, Canada • 14 Jun 2026

Event overview

The Northumberland Run Forest Run takes place on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 101 Woodland Rd #199, Roseneath, ON. The event uses forest trails in the Northumberland area and supports St. John Ambulance, which will be present at the event.

Race options and distances

Participants can choose from four course options:

  • The Jenny - 3 km loop run as a 4-hour challenge
  • The Lieutenant Dan - 7.5 km single loop
  • The Bubba - 9 km single loop
  • The Full Gump - combined route for a total of 24.6 km

The Jenny uses the Northumberland Forest Purple Finch trail clockwise.

Course and support

The event is self-supported. No marshals are on course; participants must carry their own food and water. A water refill station and aid are available at the start area (Location 50 on the course map). Participants may wish to carry a cell phone or a sounding device such as a whistle to access help if needed.

Most trails (Purple Finch, Black Oak, and Sweet Fern) are free from motorized vehicles, but some sections give vehicle access (for example, routes up to the Lookout). Runners may encounter vehicles and should yield to them.

Entry and logistics

Registration is limited to 100 people and pricing varies by registration period. T-shirts are available for purchase during registration for $30 and should be ordered by April to guarantee sizing. No refunds are offered; entry transfers may be possible if arranged in a reasonable time. Dogs are not permitted for participant safety.
