The Race

The Northern Nipmuck Trail Race is a 16-mile trail run in Union, Connecticut. It starts across the street from Bigelow Hollow State Park. The race caps registration at 75 runners, with no race day registration. Early registration costs $25 plus a processing fee. There are no awards or swag given to participants.

The Course

The course follows the Nipmuck Trail south through the Yale-Myers Forest. There is a turn-around point at Boston Hollow. The route includes technical terrain and elevation change. The organizers provide minimal aid at two points along the route, approximately at miles 4, 8, and 12. The trail is marked with blue blazes and some additional flagging. Participants are responsible for navigating the course.

The Organizer
