The No Hands Trail Run takes place on January 10, 2026 at American River Overlook Park in Auburn, California. The event offers multiple distances and has a total capacity of 400 runners. Course and race logistics
Most of the courses run on technical dirt trails and use sections of the historic Western States trail. The routes cross No Hands Bridge and include steep climbs such as the K2 training hill and Overlook Hill. The 50K crosses Highway 49 to follow the Wendell T. Robie trail through the Auburn State Recreation Area. Course markings include colored surveyor ribbon, laminated signs, and ground arrows; blue ribbons mark wrong-way trails. Hiking or trekking poles are permitted.
Aid stations provide a range of food and drink items, including energy gels and chews, trail mix, PB&J sandwiches, salty snacks, water, and Skratch Labs hydration. This is a cupless event; runners must carry their own water bottle or reusable cup. Drop bag service is not available.
