SOMO Winter Trail Series
The event offers three looped trail races at South Mountain Reservation in South Orange, New Jersey. The course uses existing fire roads, single track trail, hills and some pavement. Aid is available approximately every 3 miles.
Distances and loop counts:
- 5K, one loop
- 10K, two loops
- 13.1 miles, four loops
Advance registration opens April 30, 2026 and closes May 31, 2026. Base entry fees start at $30 for the 5K, $35 for the 10K and $40 for the 13.1-mile distance. Fees increase by $5 as the race date approaches. Day-of registration prices are listed as $45 for the 5K, $50 for the 10K and $55 for the 13.1-mile race. Day-of payments can be made with cash, check, Venmo, Zelle or PayPal.
There are no finishing medals. A giveaway will be held for participants. Race day registration is available in addition to advance registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
