The Nightingale House Alyn Waters 10k is a multi-terrain running event that takes place in Alyn Waters Country Park in Llay. The event is organized by Nightingale House Hospice.

The Course

The 10k course consists of two laps of a 5k loop on trails within the country park. The route features various terrains and some inclines. It starts from the Llay side of the park, opposite the car park. The course is marshalled and marked.

What's Included

Registration includes instant chip-timed results and a finisher's medal for all participants. Trophies are awarded to the top three male and female runners in each category. A cereal bar is provided at the finish.

Additional Information

A children's 1k fun run is also offered, with registration available only on the day. Post-run refreshments and entertainment are available at the event site. Registration fees contribute to covering event costs, and runners are encouraged to raise additional sponsorship for the hospice.

Participant Requirements

Runners for the 10k must be aged 15 or over on the day of the event. The route contains uneven surfaces and is not suitable for wheelchairs. Dogs are not permitted to run with participants, with an exception for assistance dogs by prior arrangement. Buggies are allowed, subject to course conditions. The use of headphones is prohibited.
