Nightingale House Alyn Waters 5k & 10k : Alyn Waters Country Park, 18 April 2026

Nightingale House Hospice stages a charity running event at Alyn Waters Country Park in Llay on 18 April 2026. The event offers multi‑terrain courses that start from the Llay side of the park and include undulating sections and some inclines on uneven trail surfaces.

The event provides chip timing and course marshals, and the route is waymarked. Water stations are available and an event team will be on site. All finishers receive a bespoke medal. Trophies are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each category. Runners also receive a cereal bar at the finish and there will be entertainment and catering stalls for post run refreshments.

Entry types cover:

  • 5 km - multi terrain loop
  • 10 km - two laps of the 5 km loop
  • 1 km (children's fun run) - on the day registration only

Age limits apply: participants must be at least 11 years old for the 5 km and at least 15 years old for the 10 km. Dogs and other pets are not permitted on the running course except for assistance dogs with prior arrangements. Buggies are allowed subject to course conditions. Registration fees are non refundable but entries may be transferred to another runner. Limited parking and portable toilets are available on site; there are no shower or changing facilities.
