Safety, kit, entries and volunteering

The event specifies Mandatory Kit Level B - Standard: waterproof jacket; hat or buff; gloves; whistle; charged mobile phone with an emergency number stored; and a foil blanket, bivvy bag or equivalent. Runners must bring these items; the organiser will confirm which items must be carried on the day depending on conditions. Random kit checks may be carried out and failure to have required items may lead to denial of entry or disqualification.

No entry details are published yet; entries for league events usually open a couple of weeks before the event. Volunteer roles are managed through the organiser’s membership system. Non-running volunteers need two non-running roles in a calendar year to qualify for the end-of-year prize. Volunteers are advised to aim to help roughly once every ten events they run. Running volunteers should check with the race director; non-running volunteers are preferred and volunteering in both capacities does not count toward the non-running volunteer requirement.
