The New Year's Day Run 5K McKinney takes place on January 1, 2026 in McKinney, Texas. The event offers these options:

The course is on the Wilson Creek Trail and begins and ends at The Stix Icehouse, 301 Eldorado Pkwy #100, McKinney, TX 75069. The 5K course will have two water stops. The minimum age to enter the 5K is 6; there is no minimum age for the 1M fun run. Pets are not allowed on the 5K course; pets are welcome in the 1M fun run. Strollers may be integrated into the event.

Logistics and amenities

Registration fees are shown for each event on the organizer page. Packet pickup is available early on December 31 from 12:00pm to 6:00pm at The Stix Icehouse and on race day at the race site. Virtual participants will receive a t-shirt and finisher medal by mail during the week after the event. All in-person participants receive a breakfast pass that includes an All American breakfast; alcohol options (beer or mimosa) are available for participants 21 and older with ID. The 5K has awards for top overall, masters, grand masters, and age-group finishers; the 1M fun run is not timed and has no awards. Race management may change courses for safety or weather reasons.
