New Year's Day Run 5K McKinney
The New Year's Day Run 5K McKinney takes place in McKinney, Texas, starting and finishing at The Stix Icehouse. The event features multiple distance options for participants, including a course that follows the Wilson Creek Trail.

The 5K Run course includes two water stations. Participants in this distance must be at least 6 years old. While strollers are permitted, pets are not allowed on the 5K course per safety regulations. The 1M Fun Run is a non-timed event with no age minimum, and pets are permitted to join participants for this distance.
Registered participants receive a finisher medal and an event t-shirt. The event also includes a breakfast pass for an All-American breakfast, which includes a breakfast taco and choice of a beer or mimosa for those aged 21 and over with valid identification.
Awards for the 5K are presented to the top overall male and female finishers, top masters, and the top three finishers in various age groups ranging from 14 and under to 80 and above.
