DFW Burning Soles Trail Series Race 2

An eight-week trail running series held weekly at Northshore Park MADD Shelter, 880 Simmons Rd, Flower Mound, TX. The series runs June through August and uses a well‑maintained singletrack section of the Northshore Trail.

Distances:

  • 5K
  • 10K

The course follows laps of Loop 5 with a short portion of Loop 6 to a natural turnaround where a water cache is available. Trails will be marked and a finish area is provided. Races are chip timed for all participants. Runners receive a bib at their first race that they are expected to bring to subsequent races.

Events are organized in two rounds of four weekly races each, with reserved rain dates for rescheduling. If a race is canceled for weather or trail closures, registrations are credited to the next available week; transfers to alternate dates are accepted. Race distances are approximate and may vary with trail conditions.

Weekly podium awards will recognize the top three male and top three female finishers for each distance, with additional age group recognition. At the end of the series, final awards will recognize the top three in each listed division. Both distances share the course; 10K runners begin earlier to provide spacing between fields.
