EXCLAMATION 5.0

EXCLAMATION 5.0 is an endurance event held in Farmersville, Texas at 154 S Main St. The course is laid out to form a literal exclamation mark: the dot is the start and finish, and each 5 mile out and back segment is an "EXCLAMATION". Each EXCLAMATION must be completed within the hour it begins, and a new EXCLAMATION starts every hour on the hour. Attempts continue until one runner remains and no ties are allowed.

Distances offered include:

  • 5 mile timed segment.
  • 25 mile timed segment (five EXCLAMATIONS).

No aid is allowed during an EXCLAMATION; runners must carry required supplies. Aid stations provide limited items such as water, soda, electrolyte product Hyperlyte, chips, candy, and fruit. Participants under 18 need a parent or guardian waiver. There are award categories including a Last Runner Standing prize where 25 percent of registration funds are awarded, a fastest fifth EXCLAMATION prize, an under 21 category for most EXCLAMATIONS, and a master category for runners 55 and older.

The event runs in most weather; it will pause only for thunder or lightning. Parking in downtown Farmersville is public and first come first serve; vehicle owners are responsible for their property and must obey signage and local directions. Course details are listed as coming soon. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
