The course is described as flat and fast on paved and crushed-stone surfaces. Runners pass over bridges and along prairies and farmland in an out-and-back layout under a canopy of trees. The route is marked with in-ground flagging and directional signage.

Aid stations are positioned at specific mile points including 0.0, 1.5, 5.7, 9.7, 13.9, and 15.4 miles. Stations provide basic first aid items, electrolytes, bottled drink options such as Crazy Water, and a variety of snacks. Most aid stations are staffed by volunteers though some may be unmanned. The event operates as a cupless race; participants must provide refillable water bottles for refills at aid stations.

All finishers receive a custom designed medal. Each registrant is entitled to one Tupps Brewery beverage with a valid bib and ID required for alcohol. The race is part of the Texas Trail Running Eco Series Eco Challenge. Parking is available at local lots including the J.W. Spain Complex and Rike Field. Packet pick up occurs at the Farmersville Onion Shed before race day and on race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
