DFW Burning Soles Trail Series Race 1

This event is the first race in an eight-week trail running series held at Northshore Park MADD Shelter, 880 Simmons Rd, Flower Mound, TX. Races take place on marked singletrack using laps of Loop 5 with a small portion of Loop 6 to a natural turnaround where a water cache is available. Distances are approximate and may vary with trail conditions.

Races are chip timed for all participants. Runners receive a series bib at their first race and are expected to use the same bib for subsequent races. The event uses mass starts by distance, with racers from both distances on course at the same time and organizers staggering starts to provide spacing.

Weekly results include podium awards for the top three male and top three female finishers in each distance, plus age group recognition. At the end of the eight-week series there are final awards for the top three in each listed division.

The schedule runs June through August with weekly races at Northshore Trail and includes two rain dates per round. Registration fees vary by age and by single-race or full-series registration; a single-race fee of $30 is listed in the event details. There are no refunds; transfer requests are accepted and cancellations due to weather or trail closures are credited to the next week in the series.
