DFW Burning Soles Trail Series Race 3 : Northshore Park MADD Shelter, Flower Mound, TX (06/17/2026)

This event is part of an eight week trail running series held at Northshore Trail MADD Shelter in Flower Mound. Weekly races follow laps of Loop 5 with a short section of Loop 6 to a natural turnaround where a water cache is available. Trails are singletrack, well marked, and run on municipal and federal property maintained by the Dallas Off-Road Bicycle Association, a 501(c)(3) that supports 28 trails and over 265 miles of singletrack.

Races are chip timed for all participants. Each runner receives a series bib at their first race and is expected to reuse that bib for subsequent races. Racers from both distances share the course at the same time; participants should be aware of other runners. Advertised distances are approximate and may vary with trail conditions.

Distances:

  • 5K
  • 10K

Registration options include full series, pre-registration, and late-registration tiers with separate pricing for juniors 13 and under and adults 14 and older. Pre-registration closes at midnight on the Monday of race week. There are podium awards for the top three male and top three female finishers each week, age group recognition, and final series awards for the top three in each division.

All registrations are final; there are no refunds. Transfer requests are accepted. If a race is canceled for weather or trail closures, registrations are credited to the next week in the series and no refunds are issued for reschedules to rain dates.
