New River Gorge Trifecta

New River Gorge National Park & Preserve, United States • 21 Feb 2026

Event overview

The NRG Trifecta is a calendar-year endurance challenge held in New River Gorge National Park, West Virginia. It combines three separate races in different formats: a point-to-point 50 km, a 100 km run made of four 25 km loops, and a 100-mile out-and-back. Finishers who complete all three events in the same year qualify as Trifecta finishers.

  • 50K - Cabin Fever (point-to-point)
  • 100K - Falling Water (4 x 25K loops)
  • 100-mile - Rim to River (out-and-back)

Entry and logistics

The three 2026 race dates are: February 21 (Cabin Fever 50K), April 25 (Falling Water 100K), and October 24 (Rim to River 100). Registration opens Sunday, November 9. Entry for the Trifecta is a single fee of $700 and is limited to 50 spots; registration guarantees a place in all three events. All Trifecta finishers receive a custom belt buckle, a plaque, a hat, and a jacket. There are no refunds for Trifecta participants who drop from any of the three races; this policy is tied to the guaranteed entry to the Rim to River 100. Proceeds from race registrations support programming for Adventure Appalachia, a nonprofit that provides outdoor education and adventure experiences.
