The NRG Trifecta is a calendar-year endurance challenge in New River Gorge National Park, West Virginia. It comprises three separate races held in the same year; completing all three in one year constitutes the Trifecta. The series is limited to 50 entrants and Trifecta entry guarantees a place in all three races. Proceeds support Adventure Appalachia programming.

  • 50K - Cabin Fever 50K, point-to-point.
  • 100K - Falling Water 100K, 4 x 25K loops.
  • Rim to River 100 - out-and-back.

The 2026 race dates are:

  • Cabin Fever 50K: February 21, 2026.
  • Falling Water 100K: April 25, 2026.
  • Rim to River 100: October 24, 2026.

Cabin Fever 50K is a winter point to point ultramarathon through New River Gorge National Park, with ridgeline single track, waterfalls, and a finish beneath the New River Gorge Bridge. Scenic, supported, and offering a finisher medal.

Trail ultramarathon at ACE Adventure Resort in New River Gorge with 50K, 100K solo or relay options across four scenic loops. Enjoy riverside views, creek crossings, onsite camping and big climbs for a true backcountry challenge.

Run a scenic 6 mile rim to rim course across New River Gorge, featuring a big descent and climb and a finish at Adventures on the Gorge rim side pool. Post race catered brunch and proceeds support Active SWV programs.

Experience a point to point trail challenge through New River Gorge National Park to historic Thurmond, WV on May 17, 2026. Choose 50 mile, 50K or relay options and catch the Amtrak back from the finish for a scenic return.
