Event Details
The Neroche 5K & 10K is a multi-terrain running event held at Neroche Primary School in Broadway, Ilminster. The event also includes a Children’s Fun Run.
Distances
The event offers two main races:
- 5K
- 10K
Both the 5K and 10K races are chip-timed. The course is described as an undulating, scenic, multi-terrain route through the countryside. It is well-marshalled for safety and has a water station at the halfway point. Participants aged 16 and over on the day of the event are eligible to enter the 5K and 10K races. Entry fees vary, with lower prices for affiliated runners.
Additional Features
A separate Children’s Fun Run takes place on the school grounds, with a suggested donation for entry. All finishers of the main races receive a medal, and prizes are awarded for overall and age group categories. Refreshments are available at the finish line.
The event is organized to support the Neroche School PFA (Parent and Friends Association), with all proceeds going towards enriching children's learning at the school.
