Neroche 5k & 10k

The event comprises a chip-timed 5K and 10K road/trail run plus a children’s fun run. Proceeds are raised for Neroche School PFA to support activities and learning at Neroche Primary School.

The main races follow an undulating, scenic multi-terrain route through local countryside. The course is marshalled, with a water station at the halfway point. Medals are awarded to all finishers and there are prizes for overall and age-group categories. Participants in the main races must be 16 or older on the day.

Entry fees are stated separately for each distance: 10K entry is £20 for non-affiliated runners and £18 for affiliated runners; 5K entry is £10 for non-affiliated runners and £8 for affiliated runners. Both main races are chip timed.

The children’s fun run takes place on the school grounds and accepts a donation of £2 on the day. At the finish line, a selection of refreshments is available for refuelling. Event guidance includes no headphones and no dogs. The event is organised by local runners and follows running regulations; it is supported by local sponsors and Chard Road Runners. A 15 miles fell race on the Mendips with over 2,000 feet of climbing and a fully marked Category B course. The route starts on Warrens Hill and finishes at Fairlands School where tea and cake are provided.
