Myponga Loop A Run Around The Resy

The Myponga Loop offers multiple running options around Myponga Reservoir. The long course circumnavigates the reservoir, includes sections normally closed to the public and crosses the dam wall while it is closed to traffic. The short course and kids dash use the established trails within Myponga Reservoir Reserve.

Course surfaces and footwear recommendations are provided for each distance. The long course contains 5 km of roads and about 14 km of mostly wide, hard packed fire tracks. The short course is run on wide hard packed vehicle tracks and the kids dash is on a flat groomed path.

Age and accessibility notes are specified. Long course entrants must be at least 15 years old. Short course entrants must be at least 12 years old unless accompanied by an adult. The long course is not suitable for prams or wheelchairs. The short course and the kids dash are suitable for prams and wheelchairs though some hills remain.

Entry and event logistics include online and in person registration options, race pack postage or Running Company pickup, an unmanned bag drop in the fenced paddock adjacent to Myponga Reservoir Reserve on Hansen Street, and electronic transponder timing via race bibs attached at waist height. Medals and engraving are optional purchases. Refunds and transfers follow the event policy with basic refunds available up to four weeks before the race and optional Diamond Cover for extended protection.
