Mutt Strut 5k Memphis is a charity 5K supporting Dogs 2nd Chance. The event takes place in Overton Park, with the course described as a scenic 3.1 mile route that begins at the Rainbow Lake Pavilion across from Overton Bark dog park. The listed venue address is 2080 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN.

The event offers in-person and virtual participation options and a ghost runner T shirt option. All participants who cross the finish line receive a Mutt Strut 5k medal. Medal awards are given to overall top male and female, top male and female master (40+), top male and female grand master (70+), top male and female senior grand master (80+), and the top three finishers in each age group. Age groups include ranges from 1-11 up to 80+.

Specific rules apply to dogs. Dogs must remain on a short leash in public areas and retractable leashes are not allowed. Female dogs in heat and puppies under 12 weeks are prohibited. Dogs must be accompanied at all times, owners assume responsibility for their animals, and a current rabies certificate must be provided upon request. Fresh water is provided for dogs during and after the run.

Packet pickup is scheduled for Thursday October 8 and Friday October 9 with locations pending, and on the morning of the event starting at 7:45 am.
