Multi Grouse Grind Challenge 2026 : Centennial Edition

The Multi Grouse Grind Challenge 2026 takes place on June 22, 2026 at Grouse Mountain, North Vancouver, BC. Participants attempt as many ascents of the Grouse Grind as they can during the official event day; this is the only sanctioned event that establishes the single-day record for most Grouse Grind ascents. Funds raised support North Shore Rescue and the event is tied to Grouse Mountain's centennial activities.

Entrants must be at least 16 years old; minors require a waiver signed by a legal guardian who must act as a chaperone for the duration of the event. Each participant must meet a fundraising minimum of $150 by June 11, 2026 to be eligible. Registration includes an event bib with an RFID race chip valid for multiple downloads during the day and two multi-use mountain admission tickets intended for participant support people. Descents via the Blue Grouse Gondola are available to reduce descent time and allow more ascents.

Aid stations provide hydration and snacks but the event is run cupless; participants are required to carry a reusable hydration vessel. Additional participant requirements include staying on the marked Grouse Grind trail, no downward hiking on the trail, and maintaining at least one support person at the base or summit. Registration fees, donations, and event store purchases are non-refundable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
