Muddy Shamrock @ The Forge

The Muddy Shamrock @ The Forge is scheduled for March 13, 2027, at The Forge: Lemont Quarries, 227 Heritage Quarries Dr., Lemont, IL 60439. The event comprises two trail races that share a common start and finish line and use the single-track mountain bike trails and nearby gravel routes.

The course runs on wooded single and double-track trails and on some gravel. Surfaces and features include dirt, mud, roots, rocks, stumps, grass, and several short but steep inclines and downhills. A few sections are technical. Trail running shoes are recommended. Runners complete two laps for the half marathon and one lap for the quarter marathon.

Packet pick-up includes a bib with a timing tag and swag for the first 200 registered. Onsite packet pick-up and race-day registration may be available if the race is not sold out; onsite registrations require payment by online credit card.
