The event covers a few miles of course with roughly a dozen staged obstacles called Muddy Moments. Obstacles require running, walking, crawling, wading, slipping, or sliding. Mud pits are described as no deeper than waist deep. The event does not focus on timed competition; costumes are permitted and encouraged.

Two main registration tiers are listed. The Value registration includes a race bib, finisher medal, post race party access, and the course experience. The VIP registration includes those items plus VIP check in, a tour T shirt, towel, drawstring bag, sunglasses, a temporary tattoo, and a silicone wristband.
