Course and support

All courses run on rugged single-track hiking trails within Mt. Tom State Park, with course maps and .gpx files provided in a shared folder. Approximate elevation gain is listed as 3,300 ft for the 25k solo, 1,400 ft for the 10k, and 600 ft for the 5k. Aid stations are provided at minimum every five miles, with communications between aid stations and the start/finish area. Medical coverage is provided by EMT crews at the Bray Lake start/finish area.

Relay exchange is at the Upper Pavilion (Lookout Aid Station); relay teams must reach this location without a race shuttle. Parking is at Bray Lake and is limited. A time limit applies to the long course and there are intermediary cut-offs. Early starts can be requested but volunteers may not be in place for those early miles. Prizes are planned for overall and age-group finishers and for selected fun categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
