Mt. Tom Trail Race
The Mt. Tom Trail Race is a trail running and hiking event on October 24, 2026 at Mt. Tom State Park, with the start and finish at the Lake Bray parking area on Reservation Road in Holyoke, MA. The event is a nonprofit fundraiser that supports the Kestrel Land Trust. Kestrel’s mission is to conserve, care for, and connect people to the forests, farms, trails, and waters of the Connecticut River Valley of Massachusetts. Kestrel has helped conserve more than 32,000 acres. Proceeds from the race will support efforts to enhance public access to Mt. Tom, including the Mt. Tom North Trailhead Park, restoration of Anniversary Hill Park, and a project to conserve 40 acres of open space in Easthampton while also establishing a new affordable housing community.
Registration information notes that fees are non refundable and non transferable because the event is a nonprofit fundraiser. Online registration and donations are available, and the organizer has a policy to provide partial or full entry fee scholarships to runners when funding allows.
