Mt. Sneffels Half Marathon & 10K

Mt. Sneffels Half Marathon 10K Kids Fun Run 2026

The event takes place on August 15, 2026 in the communities of Ouray and Ridgway, Colorado. It is organized by the Mt Sneffels Education Foundation and benefits local students. Registration fees are not refundable and will not be deferred.

Event distances include:

• Half marathon point-to-point from Ouray to Ridgway.
• 10K out and back, starting and finishing at Frontier Park in Ridgway.
• Kids Fun Run one mile loop around the Ridgway soccer field for ages 1 to 12; registration includes a finisher medal.

Course and participant notes: The courses run mainly along county line roads and are reported to be 99% dirt. All races are cupless, so participants should bring their own cup or container. For safety, no dogs, strollers, or bikes are allowed on the course. Children must be supervised at all times. Event staff may modify courses for safety or emergency reasons.

Logistics and fees: There is advance packet pickup and registration on August 14 at Ridgway Athletic Park/Frontier Field. Race day bib pickup locations are provided for both Ouray and Ridgway. Shuttles operate from the finish area in Ridgway back to Ouray with drop-off at Main and 9th Street. Ridgway parking is directed to designated areas north of the park; parking near the finish entrance and in the south finish lot is restricted. Ouray parking is allowed south of the park; parking at the Hot Springs Pool lot is prohibited.

Base registration pricing ranges listed by the organizer are: Half marathon $85 to $105, 10K $55 to $70, Kids Fun Run approximately $18.04. No day-of registrations are available for the half marathon or 10K. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
