Race headquarters is at Wilson Lodge in the park. The lodge is heated and has indoor restrooms. Parking is available adjacent to the lodge and park roads and parking areas will be plowed if needed. The main park road is one-way and signage will direct traffic.

The course is designed to avoid heavy snow accumulation and exposed windy sections, but the race day route is subject to change because of trail conditions, weather, and race management decisions. Organizers note snowy and icy conditions are common; runners are advised to bring footwear with aggressive tread or traction options and gaiters may be useful. Race materials state snowshoes are generally not permitted during the race due to insurance and permitting, while also listing a snowshoe race as new for 2027.

Post-race provisions include a heated lodge with a fireplace, real restrooms, freshly made buckwheat pancakes with local maple syrup, hot beverages, hot chocolate with a recovery option, fruit, and snacks. A snowshoe demo is planned and a pair of snowshoes will be given to one participant. Event policies include a single price with no fee increases and flexible transfer, distance switch, deferral, and refund options within stated deadlines.
