Naples, United States • 17 Jan 2026

Event overview

Mrs. McCormick's Ice House is a winter trail race held on January 17, 2026. It is the second race in the Common Ground Winter Trail Series, organized in partnership with other local trail groups. The course is based on a roughly ~4 mile loop. Participants may complete one or more loops to create a longer distance. The listed registration fee is $30 plus UltraSignup fees. The event page states a single price with no increases and relaxed policies: distance switching is allowed up to race-day check-in with no fee, deferrals are allowed through January 16, 2026 with no fee, and refunds are available through January 9, 2026 (refunds exclude UltraSignup fees).

There is a noted probability of snow on the course. Organizers advise appropriate footwear and state that snowshoes are not permitted under the event insurance and permit terms.

Location, course and post-race

Race headquarters is at Wilson Lodge in Ontario County Park at Gannett Hill. Parking is available next to the lodge and park roads and parking will be plowed if needed. The main park road is one-way, counter-clockwise. The 4-mile loop uses many popular sections of the park while avoiding the western slope where snow drifts can accumulate. The race day course may change for trail or weather conditions.

Post-race amenities at the heated lodge include real restrooms, a fireplace, pancakes with local maple syrup, hot beverages (including chai and hot chocolate), Skratch hydration options, fresh fruit, snacks, and awards and giveaways.
