Mountain Tiger Diablo

Mountain Tiger Diablo is a mountain running event on October 10, 2026, based at the Mitchell Canyon visitor area in Clayton, California. The route is a roughly 12 mile loop that goes directly to the Mount Diablo summit and returns to the same area.

The course totals about 4,200 feet of climbing and descending. Runners ascend approximately 1,700 feet in the first 2.5 miles via Eagle Peak, then continue up Bald Ridge to the Mount Diablo summit. The return is a steep descent of about 4,000 feet over roughly 6 miles back to the finish area. The event uses a five hour cutoff.

Entry costs $95 plus fees. The entry includes group shuttle service from an off site parking area to the start and from the finish back to parked cars; the off site shuttle ride is roughly five minutes. Registered participants receive one entry in a post race raffle and a unique finisher item. The event has a no refund policy and allows 2027 rollovers until September 1. Registration opens April 10, 2026.

This event follows the organizer's earlier Mountain Tiger Donner Summit event launched in 2025 and is presented as a second Mountain Tiger race on Mount Diablo. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
