Mountain Ridge Trail Race
Mountain Ridge Trail Race is scheduled for April 10, 2027 near Highlands Ranch, Colorado, with start and finish at Mountain Ridge Middle School. The event uses the Douglas County East-West Regional Trail and nearby single-track routes, with mostly dirt trail and some bike path sections.
Distances offered:
- 21 Mile : 21.8 miles, 2,106 feet total elevation gain
- Half-Marathon : 13 miles, 1,345 feet total elevation gain
- 10 KM : 6.2 miles, 600 feet total elevation gain
- 5 KM : 3.1 miles, 374 feet total elevation gain
Course formats include out and back or Y out and back layouts, with rolling hills and a major climb near the start of several distances. Terrain notes state trail shoes are recommended but not required. Aid station counts vary by distance: the longest race has four aid stations, the half marathon three, the 10K two, and the 5K has none. The event is cupless.
Operational details include a designated drop bag area at the start and finish, school lot parking at the race location, and crews allowed to support runners at the finish line.
