The Mount Rainier Trail events take place July 17-18, 2026 at Crystal Mountain Resort in Enumclaw, Washington. The weekend offers multiple trail races and multi-race options, including a half marathon, a downhill 10K, a trail 5K, a hill climb 5K, and combined doubles and a triple event. Race registrations include an all-day scenic gondola pass.

Courses, logistics and services

Course highlights: the half marathon starts at the summit and descends about 2,400 ft over forested trails, ridgelines, and meadows to the base. The downhill 10K drops about 2,500 ft. The hill climb is a steep 3.1-mile ascent of 2,300+ ft. The trail 5K is an out-and-back on a forest road with an initial 300-foot descent in the first 1.2 miles and a finish in Lot B at the base of Crystal Mountain.

Logistics and services: the race expo and bib pickup occur at Crystal Mountain Resort, Lot B. Event parking is primarily in Lot B with supplemental Lots C, D, and E. Camping is available on-site with tent and RV options and set fees for each option. The event is cup-free - runners should bring a reusable bottle, Nathan cup, or hydration pack. Results are chip-timed and posted online by Brooksee. Awards include finisher medals for all and place medals for top finishers and age groups.
