Mount Rainier Half Marathon
The Mount Rainier event weekend at Crystal Mountain on July 17 and 18, 2026, features multiple trail race distances that use alpine terrain and resort access near Mount Rainier. Courses run through old-growth forest, ridge lines, and alpine meadows and include substantial elevation change listed on course pages.
Distances
- 13.1 miles half marathon, summit start, downhill trails through ridgelines and meadows
- 10K downhill, from Crystal Mountain summit to finish, includes dirt trail sections
- 5K hill climb, uphill route to summit, includes gondola return and steep sections
All registrations include an all day gondola pass. The weekend program includes an expo and bib pickup on Friday at Crystal Mountain Resort Lot B, with pickup options including on site or shipped to a home address for a fee. Camping and RV options are available at an official campground with basic and rental tent rates and limited RV spots; prices are listed for tent and van or RV camping.
Event operations note that races are cup free and use refillable hydration systems or reusable cups at aid stations.
