The Mount Rainier Trail Events take place July 17-18, 2026 at Crystal Mountain Resort in Enumclaw, Washington. The weekend features dirt trail, multi-distance races and is not wheelchair or stroller accessible. Race registration includes an all-day scenic gondola pass for participants. An expo and bib pickup are held the day before the main race at Crystal Mountain Resort, Lot B.

Courses and logistics

Distances offered:

  • 13.1 miles (Half Marathon) - about 2,400 ft descent, starts at the summit and runs downhill on forested trails, ridgelines, and meadows
  • 6.2 miles (10K) - about 2,500 ft drop, downhill course from the top of Crystal Mountain
  • 3.1 miles (Hill Climb 5K) - about 2,300+ ft climb, uphill trail with gondola return

All race courses are on dirt or mixed trail. Aid stations are cup-free; runners should bring a reusable bottle, collapsible cup, or hydration pack. Onsite camping is available at the official VR campground with tent and RV options; space is limited and reservations are required. Event parking is staged at Crystal Mountain Resort Lot B, with supplemental lots used as needed. All finishers receive a finisher medal; place medals and age-group awards are given to top finishers in overall and age categories. Live results are posted online after the event.
