Mount Rainier Half Marathon

Mount Rainier Half Marathon : Crystal Mountain, WA

The Mount Rainier event takes place at Crystal Mountain near Mount Rainier on July 17 and 18, 2026. The weekend features multiple trail distances that start near the summit and run through alpine meadows, ridge lines, and old-growth forest. Courses use forested trails and mountain terrain and include downhill sections that finish near the resort base.

Distances

• 13.1 miles Half Marathon : summit start, mostly downhill to the base
• 10K : downhill route from the summit across trails and meadows
• 5K Hill Climb : uphill course that finishes at the summit

All race registrations include gondola access for the day. An expo and bib pickup takes place at Crystal Mountain Resort with an on-site parking plan using Lot B and supplemental lots. Primitive camping and RV options are offered at the official campground; campsite and basic RV pricing is listed for the weekend. Place medals are awarded to the top finishers in overall and masters categories, and finisher medals are given to all finishers. The event follows a cup-free policy at aid stations and provides water and electrolyte drink refill points; participants are asked to bring a reusable bottle, cup, or hydration pack.
