Mount Rainier Half Marathon
The Mount Rainier event at Crystal Mountain on July 17-18, 2026 presents multiple trail distances that run through alpine meadows, old growth forest, ridge lines, and mountain trails near Mount Rainier. Courses use dirt and natural trail surfaces and include significant elevation change. Each distance registration includes an all day gondola pass.
Distances offered:
- 13.1 miles Half marathon with downhill and forested meadow sections.
- 10K Downhill trail from the summit toward the base.
- 5K Hill Climb Uphill course to the summit.
Race weekend features an expo and bib pickup on the Friday before the races and designated parking at Crystal Mountain Resort. Primitive tent camping, RV parking without hookups, and paid tent rentals are available at the official campground; limited powered RV sites are offered by the resort. Event timing uses chip times for overall and masters results; competitors must start in the designated leading wave to be eligible for overall awards. Place medals are awarded for top finishers in overall and age categories, and all finishers receive a finisher medal.
The event operates a cup free policy; aid stations provide coolers but no disposable cups, so participants are asked to use a reusable bottle, reusable cup, or hydration pack. Race photos will be captured by an event photographer and made available after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
