Course and logistics

The route starts at the Crystal Mountain base area and uses Kelly’s Gap service road for roughly 1.7 miles to the Green Valley trail. Runners ascend Grubstake, listed as the high point at 6,861 feet, then follow the summit ridgeline past the gondola and Summit House. The course passes Powder Bowl, Bear Pits, Elizabeth Lake, Henskin Lake, Silver Creek Trail and Gold Hill before returning via a service road to the resort base area. The race takes place on Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest and is well marked with orange flagging. There is a strict summit cut-off of 1.5 hours; competitors who miss it will take the gondola down. Skratch hydration will be available at aid stations and the finish. Disposable timing chips are used on the back of bibs. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before and on race morning.

Prizes and scoring
